!Pfft - My new camera
by indavis <isaac@dontforgetthemilk.com>
I have been using a Kodak DC20 digital camera for years now, and have been looking for a replacement for a long time. I happened to pick up a magazine the other day and saw a camera that knocked me over. It's the new Sony Mavica MVC-CD1000. I was drooling over the specs, and after a lot of slobbering, put it off as a dream. A couple of days later, I walked to the local Fry's Electronics store, and was just wandering around trying to relax a little, and guess what they had? That's right. My camera was sitting there waiting for me. I started playing around with it and immediately fell even deeper in love. I kept checking the price and tried to justify it, but it was close to closing time, so I talked myself out of it. Let's just say that I laid awake for a while having a long conversation with myself about a camera.
Now here's the catch, my wife and I were going to the Craftsman Truck Races the next morning at the California Speedway. I couldn't take it anymore. I woke up at 9:00AM, bought the camera, let it charge for a couple of hours, and then headed to Fontana. To cut this long story short, I was totally blown away by the quality of the pictures. I am still kind of in shock over how good this camera is. It makes me look like I know what I am doing with a camera. !Pfft. Now if I could just have some spare time to get to use it. Pfft!
